Version 1.0 4/11/02

I’m working around from the existing walls to the front. I cut out some card to form the rear of the wings as seen here.
They are 5 inches in width, and 3 inches high. The height then extends up to 3 different points. I couldn’t decide whether to add another 2, 2.5 or 3 inches, so I marked all three to try and judge the angle of the roof against the model. The bree house I made in my guide was an extra 2 inches high, but this wing is wider, and needs to be higher to make the roof look suitably imposing.
I went with 2 and a half inches in the end, making it 5 and a half inches from base to point.
I poured a generous amount of PVA glue onto the side and base of this new wall, and glued it into place on the upper floor.
It only remained to glue the other wall into place in a similar manner.
Not too much done today, but I guess you were all busy with your new Two Towers box sets. Check back again tomorrow for the next instalment.
